Three Great Ways to Honor and Give Back this Weekend!

For those looking to honor and give back this weekend, there is the Autumn Auction for Autism FYI Organization on Saturday October 15 at The Hill Center in Washington, D.C., a fundraising dinner for the Red Romo Scholarship Fund at Harry Browne’s Restaurant in Annapolis on Sunday October 16, and a golf tournament fundraiser for the Red Romo Scholarship Fund at the United States Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis on Monday October 17.

Autism FYI Organization is headed by and was founded by renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. James R. Benjamin. It seeks to raise awareness and work with all in the community and with those on the Spectrum. More can be found out about the Autumn Auction event and the organization at its website.

There is also a dinner on Sunday October 16th at Harry Browne’s in Annapolis to raise money for the Red Romo Scholarhip Fund.

Leon Red Romo was the legendary athletic trainer at the United States Naval Academy for 41 years. He contributed to the athletic performance of such legends as Roger Staubach, the Heisman Trophy Winner, and David Robinson, the basketball star known as “The Admiral.” The 16th Annual Red Romo Golf Tournament will be held on Monday October 17 at the United States Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis, Maryland.

The proceeds from the dinner and the golf tournament will go to the scholarship fund to is used to pay for a postgraduate trainer to work as an intern at the United States Naval Academy.
